I work at a startup, which is literally in a garage, a really cool and fun space. We share it with a couple other startups, one of which is Mozes which is havings its big beta launch now, kicked off with a post on TechCrunch.
An example to show what you can do with Mozes is probably easiest. If you text “marcus” to 66937 (mozes), you will get a response. Try it now, really. I’ll wait. Ok, you should of got a response from them with my message I created. This response could be anything you want, you can even change it from your phone, from anywhere. And in the future, using their developer API, provide dynamic content.
I can also see this as being really cool, basically a new request/reponse platform which is all the web is anyways. This is just a little more mobile. Here’s a few other things you can text to 66937 right now:
- text “flickr” [username] – bookmark flickr user
- text “KFOG” – get latest song currently playing
- text “gossip” – get latest gossip returned to your phone
- text “myspace [username] – bookmark myspace user
- text “note” [any text] – take notes any where
Check it out, create your own and see what you can come up with.
