Wake Up! September Ends Today
Sorry I couldn’t come up with a better a title, it is just too easy to pilfer lyrics. Weird that September is already over, three-quarters of 2005 is gone. The next three months will be a blur and then another year in the books. Was it a good year? decade? life?
If you haven’t checked out my photo blog, take a look. I’ve broken out my crazy lenses and have been shooting downtown and around after work.
I haven’t given a set of links in awhile. Here’s a few things to check out:
- A cool set of photos from a friend:
Bay Area Aerials by druchoy. He won a small Cessna tour of the Bay Area and got great weather and great shots. - Loop This! is the site for the band: Loop Station. A really cool musical duo that is worth seeing live if you can. They are simply a woman singing and a guy on a cello. Sounds plain? but it is amazing what they put together with just those raw materials. A powerful amazing voice, creative playing and live track looping. Great stuff!
- Continuing on the music theme, hopefully you got the chance to check out the Dylan documentary on PBS. It was pretty good, covering his beginning and early stuff, which is my favorite music from him. Check your local PBS listings, they may be replaying it. Also the soundtrack is great: Bob Dylan: No Direction Home (CD)
- There is far too much “Web 2.0, blog community, next generation personaliztion we’re-going-to-change-the-world-so-pay-attention” talk going on. It feels like its 1999 again but this time with AdWords so somebody is making money. I feel it’s only Google though. Regardless of my pet peeves and all the buzzwords, here’s a nice list of links to some interesting web applications:
