Bleaching - Potassium Ferricynanide

Spot Bleaching Effects - removes silver from print (and film)
Mixing Chemical
  1. Add 2.5 oz of water
  2. Add 1/4 teaspoon potassium ferricynanide
  3. Add 1.5 oz of water
Note: mix in order to avoid splash or chemical dust
Bleaching Print
  1. Pre-soak print(s) in fix for about two minutes, rotating so thoroughly wet.
  2. Place print in dry tray with good light
  3. Use q-tip or brush to apply bleach (5 secs)
  4. Apply fix, with different q-tip or brush, to stop bleaching
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as necessary to achieve desired effect
  6. After bleaching fix print for about two minutes
  7. Wash print normally.
Cleaning Up

Save mixed bleach, if possible.
Pour down drain and flush with plenty of water. (from Kodak)


DANGER: DO NOT LET BLEACH MIX WITH STOP BATH
** CYNANIDE GAS CAN BE FORMED **
